It’s Wednesday! - Captain Marvel #31

It’s summer! Carol and Rhodey try to enjoy a ‘normal’ vacation when work comes calling! 

Teaming up with Takeshi, who is doing his usual awesome job of mixing the fantastic scifi worlds with the pain of air travel, quickly following our 5th issue of Silk. We’re having some fun with an interlude written by Kelly Thompson!

Time has flown since I last worked together on A-Force with Kelly and it was great to have another chance to colour her scripts!  Lots of chances for fun colours on this one.

It’s Wednesday! - Silk #5!

Ah! Issue 5. The final issue of our arc, and what a fight we have for you!

Making great use of Cindy’s extended family while adding Saya into the mix to fight off some evil cat demons!  Maurene really did a spectacular job with Silk and it was a pleasure to add some colour to her story.  Takeshi gets to show what he does so well all over this issue with the action and the quiet moments.  Look out for the final splash page!

Work started on this series before the pandemic, worked through a bit of it, was paused for a long time, not knowing when we’d be back, and then getting to revisit it all again in the space of a year and a half! Ariana did a beautiful job lettering the books while Jake, Lindsey, & Nick kept us all together and guided us through some weird times. And all the amazing covers! Hard to choose the best.

Here we go!

‘The Odyssey of Benedict Arnold’ is an ongoing adventure tale following the infamous traitor, Benedict Arnold. Washing up on the shores of an unknown land, Arnold is plagued by voices detailing his life and all that has been said of him since his act of treason, true or otherwise.

Been working on this for some time and as of writing this, there’s 120 pages set!

Opening Chapter will be available as a 36-Page Mini-Booklet for TCAF 2021 (Starting May 8th! More details soon).

Whoah! It’s finally here, Silk #1!  After Cindy Moon was shuttered away again last year, her series is finally seeing the light of day.  So happy to see her back in a new adventure penned by the amazing Maurene Goo!  Takeshi Miyazawa doing his always incredible work and I’m lucky to be able to colour with him for another round in the Spider-verse!  Hope you check out Silk’s new series and see where this takes us.

It’s Wednesday! - Magnificent Ms. Marvel #18 (Final Issue!)

Months ago we wrapped up this issue, been waiting for the release day to arrive because this is the last in a line of 7 years of colouring a series for me.  Who knew what would happen when we started back in 2013? Through everything I’ve worked on, Kamala was always reliably there, ready for another adventure.

Now she’s also off in games and TV shows and maybe movies (?).  I’m happy to have been part of an awesome team of people who brought her book to life and thank you to everyone who’s been reading along.  Your support meant everything.

Hoping to colour Kamala again one day, but for now… see you, out there.*

It’s Wednesday!  - Magnificent Ms Marvel #17

CRADLE is closing in on Kamala but there’s going to be a hitch in their plan. Someone’s going to have to put aside their differences to face off against a returning threat!  Hope you check it out today.

It’s Wednesday! -  Ms. Marvel #16

Nothing beats old terminals, demon hunting, and classic Circle Q!  Ms Marvel returns this week but on a sad note… Kamala’s inker, Juan Vlasco, passed away between Issue 15 and 16.  He was an incredible partner in bringing Ms Marvel to life with the team, always positive, and ready to go.  We hope we did his memory proud with this issue and he is missed.  Thank you for everything Juan!

Colouring Update! - September 8th

Hi everyone, been quiet on this front but it’s been sporadic because of the thing going on in the world.  Some release dates were lost track of (Ghost Spider #10 has come out digitally but as of Aug 26th, there’s a print version now available as well!)

It was the final issue of our run, and there’s some sweet thoughts by the team in the back if you care to read.  I’m sure we’ll get to see Gwen again sooner rather than later, it was a thrill to work with such a great team on her story.

Over the summer I also worked with Scott Hepburn and Francis Manapul on some DC books for the first time since 2013.  Remember Scribblenauts?  That was the last time I coloured before being whisked away to Marvel courtesy of Kamala Khan.  Time flies, thousands of pages later, and now I’m back!

Will have to do a separate update of Ms Marvel as it’s behind but issue 14 comes out Sept 9th!

In case anyone is wondering (I know there’s lots of Silk fans out there!) but Silk is still returning.  Can’t share when, but it is!  Cindy Moon is a patient character.
